Our firm finds its roots in Pretoria and was established by Mr. Jacobus Hendrik (Kobus) Schabort in 1996 under the name of Schabort Incorporated.  Since then it has grown to a niche law firm specializing in Company Law, Corporate Law, Insolvency Law and Contract Law.  As commercial litigation has become the cornerstone of our practice, we have been led to represent various clients all over South Africa and abroad.

 

In addition, Mr. Nicolaas GC (Reinhardt) Potgieter joined as junior partner at our firm, bringing forth a fresh perspective, dynamic thinking which creates a bridge between two generations of law practitioners. Mr. Potgieter specializes in commercial law, with focus on Lease Agreements, the Consumer Protection Act and Insolvency Legislation.
